Let Me Sleep A Little Longer

A protective head piece with stuffed, quilted layers of dried medicinal herbs that aid sleep, anti-anxiety and healing. Drawing on protective headgear designs the piece is constructed to be worn over the head, covering the eyes and falling down around the shoulders. The quilted layers are stuffed with lavender, valerian root, lemon balm and mugwort. By adding rice to the stuffing, the resulting weighted effect references the benefits of weighted blankets in soothing the nervous system, anxiety and aiding in sleep.
